Association plans potlucks and parties

Bridgewater Historical Association
     Until the weather changes, the Thursday Night Music Night will continue with the sounds of Outside In. Music begins at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes!

     A Music Potluck will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27. Supper starts at 4:30 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m.
     October events planned include a Harvest Potluck Supper and Game Night on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 5  p.m. Bring your favorite game and a dish to share.
     An Adult Halloween Party is planned for Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8 – 11 p.m. There will be door prizes, a 50/50 and a costume contest. A fee of $5 gets you into the party. There will be snacks and finger foods to partygoers to enjoy.
     The BHA would like to extend their thanks to all their contributors and supporters. All the help is greatly appreciated.

CAHS Adult Ed
     The fall semester of SAD 42 Adult Education classes will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 14, and run through Thursday, Dec. 4. All classes begin at 6 p.m. unless specified. All classes will be held at Central Aroostook High School.
    Classes being offered include:
• Windows XP – Monday and Thursday with Instructor Kathy Craig;
• Quilting – Monday and Thursday with Instructor Patsy Glidden;
• Primitive Stitchery – Tuesday with Instructor Wendy Grass;
• Crafts and More – Thursday with Instructor Susan Watson;
• Woodworking – Thursday with Instructor Blair McCartney;
• Jump Start Aerobics – Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. with Instructor Marilyn Burtt; and
• Welding – Tuesday with Instructor John York.
     A registration fee of $15 will be charged for each class and Pre-registration is required. Senior citizens 60 years of age and older will be admitted free of charge. Rotary Club
     The Mars Hill Rotary Club met at the Aroostook Health Center on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 a.m. The club held an organizational meeting, discussing ways to improve the club and ideas for the upcoming year.
Bridgewater Creative Crafting
     On the first and third Thursdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Community Center in Bridgewater, crafters are encouraged to join together to work on various projects. Bring your own supplies and projects as you share your knowledge of various crafts. Work together or individually with quilting, knitting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, scrapbooking, etc. Everyone is welcome!     YOUNG HANNAH SHAW attended her first parade in the arms of her grandmother, Charlotte Shaw, ACI Class of 1966 graduate. Hannah’s father, Ryan, is a 1997 graduate of CAHS and her mother, Sadie, is the current guidance counselor at CAHS.
