Hope exists

I’m an addict! Remember me? I’ve been in a continuous battle with prescription drugs for about 13 years or so. It wasn’t until my oldest daughter was born I realized I have the disease of addiction, four years ago.     I’ve mentioned in previous articles all the meetings, rehabs, counseling and how God has assisted me in becoming a mom, daughter and friend I always longed for. I’ve come to this place a few times; it’s usually when my life is calm and content is when I relapse. I’ll find some way to sabotage myself for an excuse to use.
This time I’m challenging my fellow addicts or even loved ones on supporters of addicts to keep my summer interesting and exciting with questions or comments.
I attend UMPI full-time, this is my first drug-free summer and I’m getting bored. Even with an almost four-year-old. So, I challenge whomever to help and support my true and honest actions to keep our community aware that there is hope!
