Acting President, Caribou Pet Rescue

Effective  immediately the quarantine has been lifted by the state of Maine’s licensed veterinarian, Dr. Christine Fraser.     Caribou Pet Rescue will be open by appointment only evenings and weekends.  Anyone interested in adding a wonderful four-legged critter to their family, are asked to call Paula DeMerchant at 496-3707 and leave a message.  You may have seen my phone number in previous editions or in mass e-mailings, but this time I’m personally urging you to take action and call me.
The shelter will not be open weekday mornings or afternoons. I will be scheduling appointments and will meet with interested parties at their convenience.  We have a number of wonderful adult cats and remember the adoption fee for adult cats has been slashed to $1.  No senior discount on reduced adoption fees.
Thank you for bearing with us while the shelter addressed the giardia cases. I look forward to hearing from and meeting those committed to adopting a great cat or dog.
