The Houlton Junior High chorus and band presented their Winter Concert at the high school auditorium last Thursday night.

HJH BAND — Director Kevin Mania has his hands full with 73 musicians in the Houlton Jr. High Band that performed at the school’s Winter Concert last week. The 66-member chorus under the direction of Rebecca DeWan showcased the vocal talent of these junior high students with special selections by Ally Carmichael, Lucas Grant, Mallory Clayton, Taylor Forest, Mikaela Tuttle, Josh Scott, Heather Jackins, and Phoenix Crockett.
The song selections included: “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel,” “I’m Goin’ there,” “Dona, Dona,” “Amen,” “Go tell It” and “American Folk Rhapsody.”

HOULTON’S JR. HIGH CHORUS — Director Rebecca DeWan showcased her 66-member junior high chorus at the holiday concert held at the Houlton High Auditorium last week.
Following the choral presentation the junior high band took the stage under the direction of Kevin Mania. This 73-member group includes many of the choral members. They entertained with: “Into the Light,” “A Celtic Christmas,” “Synergies” and the Christmas “Pop” Sing-a-long. The last selection included the audience participating in some traditional Christmas Carols.

“DONA, DONA” — Three young ladies shared the stage for their special part in the selection, “Dona, Dona”. They are, from left, Taylor Forest, Mallory Clayton and Mikaela Tuttle.
The following students have been selected to the All-Aroostook Chorus to be held here in Houlton on Jan. 17 at Houlton High School: Madison Black, Ally Carmichael, Heather Jackins, Brittany Jewell, Jayde McNinch, Mikaela Tuttle, Lizzie Flint, Kristin Farwell, Maggie Russell, Ashley Wilkins, Tyler Bartlett, Phoenix Crockett, Lucas Grant, Taylor Forest, Josh Scott and Robby Woods.
Students selected for the All-Aroostook Band are: Crystal Nason, Kenzie Clark, Melissa Peabody, Elyjah Crockett, Barrett Dunn, Alex Casillas, Ryan Tribou, D.J.McGary, and Mallory Clayton.
