The Lady Hornets of Ashland play Easton this Friday, and though the team has a few losses behind them, first year coach Keven Paradis is hoping for growth, improvement and a win.
On Dec. 8, Ashland went up against Katahdin, putting up a good fight and remained consistent, but losing 56-28.
Suzi Poulin brought in 9 points for Ashland and Olivia McNally put in 25 for Katahdin.
While disappointed, Paradis’ was not surprised, as much of Katahdin’s strength is found in two solid scorers and good coaching.
Paradis could already see improvement as the Hornets went up against Southern Aroostook on Dec. 13. Despite the 53-30 loss, Hornet Crystal Cook was able to bank 11 points.
“ I did see some individual improvement with some of the players. Our challenge seems to be more on the offensive end,” said Paradis.
The Hornets play at Easton on Friday at 7 p.m.
