Richard H. Gingras

ImageLudlow – Richard H. Gingras, 82, passed away on Jan. 7, 2009, at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born November 8, 1926, at Wallingford, CT, the son of Richard and Kathryn (Pernell) Gingras.
    Richard served in the US Navy during World War II serving in the South Pacific and the battle at Iwo Jima. He worked as a stationary engineer for many years for the State of Connecticut.
    Richard is survived by his son, Richard Gingras and his wife Cheryl of Meriden, CT; his daughter, Jennifer Gingras of Ludlow; one grandson, John R. Gingras of Meriden, CT; and his sister, Barbara Howe of Wallingford, CT. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Gingras and his son, John Gingras.
    At Richard’s request, there will be no calling hours. A private mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church. Gifts may be made in Richard’s memory to the Maine Veteran’s Home or the Houlton Humane Society, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, 04730.
