Island Falls home decorating contest

    The winners for the Island Falls home decorating contest that included the areas of Island Falls, Crystal and Dyer Brook have been selected.
    The Island Falls Recreation Department and the Maine Public Service Company sponsored this event and entrants were encouraged to use energy efficient lighting. Winners received gift certificates to be used toward their Maine Public energy service bill.
     First place, receiving $100 in gift certificates were Norman and LeAnna LaCharite; second place receiving $50 in gift certificates were Bernard and June Phelps; third place, receiving $25 in gift certificates was Allen and Jeanie Schenk and fourth place, receiving $25 in gift certificates were Robert and Brandy Brooks. 
    The rec. dept. would like to thank all the entrants and Maine Public Service for donating gift certificates.
    We hope we can do it again next year.
