February 17, has been set as the deadline for the digital television transition by the U.S. Congress. Maine Public Television will be all-digital after Jan. 11 and WAGM-TV Channel 8 will be all-digital after Feb.17.    To assist in answering the many questions the transition to digital television (DTV) raises, the Caribou Public Library is sponsoring “DTV Awareness Day”, Jan. 21, at the library from 6:30 -7:30 p.m.
Nandan Joshi of the Federal Communications Commission will be present to provide information and answer question regarding digital television. This event will help individuals better understand the DTV transition, what it is and what it means.
Don’t let your television go dark — come and learn about this transition.
