To the editor:
As we all know, the Government gave billions of taxpayers’ money to the banks, partly to help people losing their homes. The banks turned around and bought smaller banks out with this money. They wanted to get rid of the competition and they did it with taxpayers’ money! I wonder if the Senator’s really know what these banks were going to do with this money? I think they did! If the Government didn’t know, do we want them in office? They lied to the American people.
I hope your readers understand that the American people have more power than the Government! Your power is in the e-mails, phone calls, and letter to your Senators. Remember they work for you! Let’s all stop being slaves to the Government and stand up for our rights.
Just think about the children that live in this country who can’t afford food, clothes and shelter? But we can give all this money to the banks and they spend it anyway they want to including bonuses for their top executives. It’s a sad day in this country when we let our children go without.
