“Little All-Stars” Sports Class
The Presque Isle Recreation & Parks Department is once again offering its sports class for boys and girls ages 4-5, Little All-Stars.
Participants will be introduced to five different sports, including basketball, soccer, floor hockey, football and t-ball. Through games and instruction, the focus will be on fun and the basic fundamentals of each sport.
The class is held Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:15 at the recreation center. The program runs from Feb. 27 to March 27.
Registration has begun for residents and non residents. There is an $18 registration fee. Contact the recreation office at 764-2545 for more information.
High School Indoor Soccer Tournament
The Presque Isle Recreation & Parks Department will host its annual indoor soccer tournament for high school students Saturday, March 21 at the Northern Maine Community College.
The tournament has a 5-on-5 format and teams are limited to 10 players. Deadline for registration is Friday, March 13 at noon. Entry fee is $70 per team.

Archery
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department is offering an archery program for youth and adults on Sundays from 6-8:30 p.m.
This is an informal, drop-in program with a $6 fee for each night of shooting. Participants may bring their own equipment, and there will be some available for those whom do not have equipment.

If your child has had their team picture taken and you would like an electronic copy, please email adampirec@maine.rr.com with your child’s name, sport, and team name.
LeBlanc’s Family Karate
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department now hosts LeBlanc’s Family Karate Saturday mornings.
Classes are for ages 7 and up, and classes will be run from 9-11 a.m. every Saturday. The classes are designed for beginners and intermediate students.
The cost is $30 per month and family rates are available. There is also a one time fee of $25 per student. Registration can be taken at any time at the Recreation Center.

Laser Tag
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will be hosting Laser Tag on Friday, March 6, from 6-8 pm.
This is open to ages 10 and up. The cost for the two hours is $10, and people can pay $5 for one hour of play. Please email adampirec@maine.rr.com with any questions or concerns.
Parent/Toddler Sign Language
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will be hosting a parent/toddler signing playgroup Saturdays from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The group will meet the first Saturday of each month. This group is designed to teach children basic signs as a means of communication at an earlier age. The cost is $2 per child per session. The group is designed for children up to age 6, but all ages may come and join in the fun.
