LOOKS LIKE FUN — Fellow Rotarians Scott White and John Tribou are learning the ropes for hosting a Bingo game. The Houlton Rotary Club will be sponsoring this activity on March 18 at St. Anthony’s Hall to raise money for the Rotary Youth exchange program.
Early-bird games start at 6:30 p.m. with a payout of $25 for each game. The main event starts at 7 p.m. and will run for about two hours.  Regular games will pay out $50.
The Houlton Rotary Club plans to give out over $1,000 in cash prizes.  Anyone 16 years of age or older is welcome.  All proceeds will go to support the Rotary Youth Exchange program that was established in Houlton in 2003.
Houlton Rotary sends two students from area schools on a six to eight week foreign exchange each year.  The primary objective of the program is to advance the knowledge and world understanding of these students, while also fostering world peace and good will at a personal level.
Rotary hopes that young people will be able to observe firsthand the struggles and accomplishments of other countries by living with and meeting people of cultures and creeds other than their own. The club is pleased to provide local teens with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
