Annual gun show this weekend

    The Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting its 22nd annual Gun Show at the Millar Civic Center in Houlton on Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19.
    The doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 per person with youth under 12 admitted free.
    Raffle tickets will be sold at the door for $1 per ticket or $5 for six on this year’s first-place prize, a Smith and Wesson Model 22A pistol, with the second-place prize being a single shot 20-gauge shotgun and third-place prize, a S.W.A.T. knife.
    Food and beverages will be available.
    If the 2008 event is any indication, in addition to guns and ammo, vendors will be exhibiting knives, holsters, clips, T-shirts, gun stocks, grips, scopes, ammo belts, reloading dies and game calls. Last year’s show featured 15 dealers with a paid attendance of nearly 750.
