Joe Fitzpatrick accepts People’s Choice Trophy

THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE — Joe Fitzpatrick owner of Furniture & Floors North in Houlton proudly holds up the People’s Choice Award his store earned over the weekend for having a very attractive booth at the 26th annual Home and Garden Show. The Presque Isle Kiwanis Club held the show at the Forum in Presque Isle. Fitzpatrick shared credit with his staff who, he said, creates a miniature portion of the store.  “We took some of our best furniture — mainly the Furniture Traditions bedroom and living room groups that we’ve stocked for the last 17 years.” Fitzpatrick said the show in which he has participated for the last four or five years gives great exposure to the north country. He recalled an early recognition for a display as a newcomer, “but this award is the best that we’ve received and we’re very pleased with that.” Staff Writer Kathy McCarty of the Star-Herald took the photo of Sales Consultant, Garth Bean in the Furniture & Floors North display.
