Hello everyone. Always a sign of spring, the swings are out, two of them and are being used by the tenants. Sunday and this is a day of sun with some chill in the air. Enjoy!
Congratulations to Bea Broder-Oldach, who recently received another degree in a college nearby where she lives in Ohio. Bea is a former Houlton girl. Our best to you.
Kathryn Hall, of the Bangor area, was a weekend guest of her mother, Lois Downing.
Harold McCarthy’s sister, 80 years old, recently died in another state. Harold was unable to attend but we send our condolences.
Parishioners of St. Mary of the Visitation Church were informed on Sunday that their former pastor, Rev. Eddy Morin, had received a liver transplant in an operation a few days ago at Lahey Clinic in nearby Boston. Fr. Eddy is doing well and our thanks to him and to his donor.
On May 9, a Saturday, the letter carriers all over the country will pick up bags of nonperishable food you leave near your mailbox and deliver them to local food banks as part of the 17th annual “Stamp Out Hunger!” Our tenants have always been very generous in this respect.
Charlene Henderson was a visitor in Bangor on Saturday. Lillian Stairs was also in Bangor one day last week.
Here’s an old “knock, knock joke: Knock, knock. Who’s there? Gus. Gus who? Gus who’s coming to dinner?
Our Bible quote for the week is:….with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
Have a good and safe week.
