Scrap booking convention scheduled for May 2

    In conjunction with National Scrapbooking Day, a scrap booking convention is scheduled for May 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Aroostook Centre Mall in a vacant storefront between Sears and the Dollar Store. The event is open to the public and admission is free.     This will be the fifth year that the convention has been held.
    “The purpose of this convention is to bring all the local scrapbook stores, teachers, consultants, and enthusiasts together in one place for everyone to see what is available right here in Aroostook County for this very popular hobby,” said Grace O’Neal. “Throughout the day, participants are able to see the latest and hottest scrap booking and rubber stamping products that are available right here in their home-towns.”
    “They are also able to purchase items for their own creative use and even try out the new products by doing make-n-take projects, which are provided by the vendors.,” O’Neal added.
    This year’s participating vendors include Frozen in Time, located in Madawaska; Scraps!, located in Houlton; Scrapbooking Dreams, located in Presque Isle; Mom & Me Scrapbooking, located in Saco; Treasure Chest Crafts, located in Presque Isle, Cherished Memories, located in Caribou; Creative Memories, located in Caribou; Stampin’ Up!, located in St. Agatha, Caribou, and Van Buren, and Aroostook Photo Services & Memory Works, located in Madawaska.
