Delegates from Houlton High School have been chosen for Dirigo Boys’ and Girls’ State.
Dirigo Boys’ and Girls’ State is a school of government sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary. Girls’ State will be held at Husson University from June 21-26 and Boys’ State will be held at Thomas College June 21-25.
Delegates are chosen by the Social Studies Department at the high school. This year’s delegates are Emily DeWitt, Stephannie Kreyssig, Patrick Hutchinson and Jordan Codrey.
DeWitt, the daughter of Rena Oliver, is sponsored by Katahdin Trust Company. Kreyssig, daughter of Glen and Anne Kreyssig of Littleton, is sponsored by the Houlton High School Student Council. Hutchinson, son of Stephen and Andrea Hutchinson, is sponsored by the Houlton Lodge of Elks and Codrey, son of Dana and Julie Codrey of Littleton, is sponsored by Chester L. Briggs, Post No. 47, American Legion.
