OTTAWA, IL – Annette "Nette" Roix, 39, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, April 7, at her home. She was born Feb. 26, 1970, in Princeton, to Kenneth and Margaret (Bird) Stanfield. She married Scott Roix on Aug. 2, 1991.
She was employed at Christ Community Church. Annette was a dedicated member of Christ Community Church for 15 years. Over the years she led small groups, served as youth leader, Wee Care coordinator, Informed Booth coordinator and greeter. She also was a member of the creative writer team.
Survivors include her husband, Scott; parents, Kenneth and Margaret Stanfield; daughters, Meagan and Karrigan; sons, Logan and Zachary; sisters, Suzanne (John) Zeman of Belvidere and Rebecca Bland of Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, David (Sarah) Stanfield of Rockford and Daniel (Sharon) Stanfield of Kenosha, Wis. She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Ina Mae Bird; and a niece, Ashley Bland.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Community Church, 807 La Salle St., Ottawa, with the Rev. John Nordstrom as officiate. Pallbearers were David and Daniel Stanfield, Tom Reynolds, Don Maxon, Jonathan Bowman and Logan Roix. Cremation rites were accorded following the funeral services. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the children’s education.
