PRESQUE ISLE – Dale T. McLaughlin, 43, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 28, 1965, in Presque Isle, the son of Eugene and Rosalie (Sickles) McLaughlin Sr.
Dale was a graduate of Nokomis High School and was an avid reader. Dale was a very special person who never complained and loved his family and friends through it all.
He is survived by his father, Eugene Sr. of Presque Isle; a son, Brian McLaughlin of Bangor; eight siblings: Marion Gartley and her husband Henry of Houlton, Jolene Lunney of Bangor, Eugene McLaughlin Jr. and his wife Sandra of Presque Isle, Gregory P. McLaughlin of Presque Isle, Kevin McLaughlin and his wife Dawn of Hinesville, GA, Valerie Orr and her husband Gary of Presque Isle, Jeffery McLaughlin and his wife Norma of Presque Isle, Christopher McLaughlin and his wife Valerie of Plymouth, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Rosalie McLaughlin.
A graveside service was conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday May 26, 2009 at Fairmount Cemetery with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. A special thank you to his sister Valerie, his father Eugene and a special niece Sarah for taking such good care of him.
