PRESQUE ISLE – City officials want to hear from local businesses on what improvements they’d like to see to enhance their communication and technology needs.

“The USDA/Rural Develop-ment is accepting applications until August 14 under the Broadband Incentives and Broadband Technologies Opportunities Program that includes grant funds,” said City Manager Tom Stevens, in a letter to members of the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce.
According to Stevens, city officials are interested in hearing from any Chamber member on “their unmet communication /technology needs, both current and future.”
City officials want to work with all who are interested in pursuing funding to upgrade their companies’ technological systems, thus enhancing their competitiveness in the local economy.
“If there is a need, the city will gladly pursue this grant opportunity to assist businesses in their technology needs for economic development,” said Stevens. “If businesses have any needs or ideas, they can reply directly to me at: tstevens@presqueisleme
.us,” said Stevens.
