Duncanville, TX – Born on May 15, 1923, a beautiful spring day, to Myles Justus & Helen Hazel McNinch Bruce in Bridgewater, Maine. Mildred passed away August 4, 2009. Even though Millie spent most of her adult life in Windsor, Connecticut, Bridgewater has always been the center of her universe! She relocated to Duncanville, Texas in 2001.
Millie is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John Allan Bruce and Catherine Sophia Nelson of Doaktown, New Brunswick, Canada. Her maternal grandparents were William and Celia (Fletcher) Mc Ninch of Bridgewater and Portland, Maine. Millie cherished her six brothers – Ralph, Lawrence, Donald, Walter, Merle & Lloyd; and her only sister, Lois Marie Bruce, who was her life long best-friend and confidant. Lois passed away November 1, 2007. Millie will joyfully be reunited with her fourth son, Michael David Apraham who left her October 25, 2007 and her grandson, Neil Apraham.
Her children left to cherish her memory, are her daughter, Susan Hijeck and son-in-law, Don of Texas; Harry and Rene Apraham of Arizona; Joel and Diane Apraham, of Connecticut; Greg Apraham of Washington; daughter-in-law Chun Cha Apraham of Virginia and Steven Bruce Apraham. Millie leaves her favorite niece and namesake, Mildred Catherine Bruce-Vye of Brunswick, Maine and cousin, Barbara Warren of East Baldwin, Maine. Millie's grandchildren are Christopher James, Justin Miles and Connor Hijeck; David Apraham and Sharon Ostiguy.
