Curtis Yockey, 15, of Butler, Pa., son of Ron and Jill London Yockey, and grandson of Larry and Myrna London of Hodgdon, completed a week of Camp Cadet held at Lutherlyn Camp in Butler, Pa., Aug. 9-14.
Yockey was appointed leader of his squad and successfully completed the week receiving a diploma and Camp Cadet patch at the graduation ceremony. He is a freshman at the Butler Intermediate High School in Butler, Pa.
Camp Cadet is a program run through the state police for children ages 12-15 interested in law enforcement. It is funded by local businesses, individuals, civic clubs, foundations and fraternal organizations. The camp is run military with a rigid schedule of events.
