Charlestown, NH – Hilda E. Hall, 88, of River Road in North Charlestown, NH, died Saturday, September 26, at her daughter’s home on Bellows Falls Road in Charlestown, NH. She was born in Mapleton, ME on May 12, 1921, the daughter of Lewis and Marie (Elliott) McPherson.
She graduated from Mapleton High School at the age of 16. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was very excited at becoming a great- great-grandmother. She loved animals, her dog Sparky, cats, pink carnations, a cup of tea and ginger snaps and Mustang cars.
Members of her family include a son, Kevin Lewis Hall, Charlestown, NH; five daughters, Judy (Cray) Konesko and her companion, David Chesley, Charlestown, NH; Gloria (Cray) Bushway and husband Jim, Charlestown, NH; Linda (Cray) Seymour and husband, Jim, Charlestown, NH; Diane (Cray) Walsh and husband Tom, North Walpole, NH; Shirley (Hall) Benson and husband Dennis, Lynn, MA; a step-son, Dale A. Hall and his wife, Donna, Alstead, NH; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, her dog, Sparky, four sisters, Margaret Bolduc, West Swanzey, NH; Althea Jordan, Keene, NH; Dorene Archer, Chapman, ME; Mary Hull, Gilsum, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, David Cray and her second husband, Robert Hall; three brothers, Wallace McPherson, Melvin McPherson and Stephen McPherson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Roy Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Kearns of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Hill Cemetery in North Charlestown, NH.
