Weldon Wallace “Sonny” Rand, Jr. passed away at home peacefully on Sept. 26, 2009, due to illness. He worked for Columbia Forest Products for over 30 years. He was born on Aug. 19, 1947.
He is survived by his son, Wallace Rand and two daughters, Tiffney Leblanc and Renee Humphrey; eight grandchilren; three brothers, Donald Rand of Fort Fairfield, Stephen Rand of Presque Isle and Ronald Rand of Washburn; four sisters, Catherine Levasseur of Presque Isle, Barbara Cockram of Virginia, Diane Tarbox of Washburn and Tami Norsworthy of Alaska. He was predeceased by his mother, Norma Langley; two brothers, Paul and Dana.
