Firefighter Chip LaMothe, 41, is a 4-year member of the Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department who decided to join forces with the CFD, “because of the department’s involvement within the community. You only have one chance in life and it’s nice to help our town.” A resident of Caribou, volunteer firefighter Chip also works delivering fuel. He and his wife Amy have two children, Lance and Derrick. A motorcycle enthusiast, the firefighter stated that his favorite food would be pizza.
Firefighter Chip would like community residents to understand that the foremost role of a firefighter is “to protect and hopefully save a life.”
