AMHC appoints new leadership

    CARIBOU —With the recent retirement of AMHC’s chief executive officer Wesley R. Davidson, Gregory P. Disy has assumed the role of chief executive officer effective January 2010. Disy has been on staff at AMHC since 1980 and has served as AMHC’s chief operating officer since 2000.  Image   As chief executive officer, Disy will strive to ensure the achievement of the agency’s service mission in conformance with AMHC’s philosophy of service, organizational values and policies established by the Board of Directors.
    Disy is an independently licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maine and received his master’s in social work from the University of Maine at Orono. He serves on the board of the Maine Association of Mental Health Services and acts as AMHC’s representative to the Mental Health Corporations of America.

Image    Tamara Player has been appointed as chief operations officer of AMHC. Player has been on staff at AMHC for 15 years and most recently served as the program director for mental health services. In her role as chief operations officer, Player will strive to ensure the integrity of AMHC operations and the accomplishment of service goals and objectives in coordination with her peers on the senior leadership team. Player is an independently licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maine and received her masters in social work from the University of New England.
    AMHC is a nonprofit organization with 20 service sites located across Aroostook, Washington, and Hancock counties. AMHC has been developing and providing mental health, substance abuse, rehabilitation, and speech and language services since 1964.
