Fitzsimmons, Leona, 86, Limestone, at Limestone, December 22, 2009. Interment will be in the spring at St. Louis Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

    LIMESTONE – Leona Fitzsimmons, 86, the beloved wife of the late Floyd Albert Fitzsimmons, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at her residence. She was born November 27, 1923, in St. Quentin, New Brunswick, the daughter of Arthur and Grace (Bourdage) Soucy. Leona was a full-time homemaker until her family was raised, then worked for Interstate in Fort Fairfield.
    She is survived by her eight children, Harold of Presque Isle, Marjorie and her husband, Doug Andrews of Addison, Alabama, Sherry and her husband, John Ardine of Northford, Connecticut, Gary and his wife, Brenda of Limestone, Clayton and his wife, Helen of Limestone, Linda of Limestone, Earl and his wife, Donna of Shalimar, Florida, and Robert of Limestone; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; ten surviving brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Leona was predeceased by four brothers and sisters.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 24, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Limestone with Father Aaron Damboise celebrant. Interment will be in the spring at St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the St. Louis Catholic Church Fuel Fund.
