County Spelling Bee

THE COUNTY SPELLING BEE was held Feb. 3 at Presque Isle Middle School. Among those participating were,  Imagefrom left: Alex Angotti, winner of the Greater Houlton Christian Academy spelling bee; Rebekah Emery, Greater Houlton Christian Academy’s runner-up; Hayley Flewelling, winner of the Houlton Junior/Senior High School bee; Isaiha Littleton, Houlton Junior/Senior High School’s runner-up; Sam Horton, winner of the Mill Pond School’s bee; and Molly Veysey, Mill Pond School’s runner-up. The County Spelling Bee was won by Joshua Stover from Wisdom Middle/High School, who correctly spelled “hypothesis” in the 14th round to claim the title. Stover will represent Aroostook County in the state spelling bee later this month. Stover also won the County Spelling Bee last year.
