Goodall named to All-Tourney team

Local athletes named as hoop Honorable Mentions
    The Bangor Daily News named its 2010 All-Tournament girls’ teams.
    In Class D, Liz Goodall of the Southern Aroostook Lady Warriors was named to the All-Tourney team for her 17-point effort against Deer Isle-Stonington in the quarterfinal round. Goodall is a 5-7 senior guard and averaged 13.5 points in her team’s two-game tournament appearance.
    Joining Goodall are: Fort Fairfield sophomore Amanda Hotham, who is also the Class D Owen Osborne Most Valuable Player. Hotham, a 5-6 forward averaged 25.3 points per game; Central Aroostook 5-8 sophomore center Vicki McIntyre averaged 18.6 ppg; Fort Fairfield 5-10 junior center Brooke Beaulieu averaged seven ppg, but was a force on the boards and defensively and Bangor Christian’s 5-8 junior guard Whitney Holmes who averaged 16 ppg.
    Honorable Mention for Class D included Southern Aroostook’s Lauren McGary; Central Aroostook’s Racheal Grew and Brianna Hartin; Bangor Christian’s Emma Johnson; Washburn’s Rebecca Campbell and Fort Fairfield’s Danielle Tracy.
    In Class C, Nicole Osborne of Calais was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. She is a 6-1 senior center who averaged 18.3 points per game. She is joined by teammate Alex McVicar, a 5-5 senior guard who averaged 12 ppg; Central’s Hannah Pray, 5-8 junior guard who averaged 20.5 ppg; Washington Academy’s Andi Flannery, a 5-8 senior forward who averaged 9.3 ppg, but was a force on the boards and Foxcroft Academy’s Vanessa Lougee, a 6-0 senior center who averaged 16 ppg.
    Houlton’s Vanessa Sanderson was named as Honorable Mention to the Class C team, along with Washington Academy’s Breanna Nicely and Taylor Seeley; Woodland’s Ariel Knights and Central’s Bekah Campbell.
