Caribou Middle School March Students of the Month

    CARIBOU, Maine — Faculty members at the Caribou Middle recently announced their selections for Students of the Month for March.

Kirsten Haney, a grade-five student, was chosen as Student of the Month for March by her teachers on the “Explorers” team, Ms. Deede Duncan and Mrs. Jola Hebert.
The CMS teachers stated, “Kirsten is an incredible worker and tries very hard at everything she does. She is very kind and helpful to her classmates and enjoys being involved with band and chorus. Kirsten is a consistent student and tries to please everyone. She is a great friend and student.

Kyleigh Stiller, a member of the fifth-grade “Brainiacs” team was named Student of the Month for March by her teachers Mrs. Nella Ouellette and Mrs. Cindy Levasseur.

The team teachers said, “Kyleigh is very conscientious and works diligently to attain her goals. She is an honor roll student and always strives to do her best. Her outstanding attitude and gentle nature is admirable and she is very deserving of this award. The fifth-grader also enjoys participating in CMS chorus and track and cheerleading at the Wellness Center.”

Lyndsay Rowland was selected as the sixth-grade Student of the Month for March from the “Six-ceeders” team by her teachers Mr. John Pelletier, Mr. John Habeeb, Ms. Ruth Dionne and Mrs. Cathy Bouchard.

Her teachers stated, “Lyndsay has demonstrated good work habits and is highly conscientious to ensure quality when completing assignments. She gets along well with her peers, is an exemplary role mode and is well mannered. Lyndsay is cooperative and respectful to both adults and students and she has a great sense of humor as well as a kind heart. Outside of school she enjoys performing for the Maine Dance Academy.”

Taitem Lindsey, a grade six student at CMS was named Student of the Month for March by her teachers on the “Super-sixers” team, Ms. Sarah LaJoie and Mrs. Jen Quinlan.

The teachers said “Taitem is a new student at CMS this year, yet in a short amount of time, she has earned the respect of both her teachers and her classmates. She consistently puts forth her best effort in the classroom and always has her work done on time. While her academic performance is exemplary, it is her kindness and generosity toward others that have earned her this honor.”
“Taitem’s friendly demeanor makes her well-liked by all who have the opportunity to work with her and her commitment to teamwork and school citizenship is noteworthy,” continued the CMS teachers. “On several occasions she has patiently assisted a fellow student with class work, or offered to help clean up a mess that wasn’t even hers,” they added.

Brian Corbin, a member of the seventh grade was named Student of the Month for March by his teachers Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mr. Steve Perreault, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt.

The Caribou Middle School teachers stated, “We respect Brian for his academic achievement and his strong character. He is a bright, hard-working young man who consistently earns excellent grades and is kind and respectful to teachers and students. He always has a positive attitude and is willing to lend a hand to all he meets. Brian brings a quiet strength to the classroom, where he is a model student and human being.”

Nerissa Larrabee is a grade-seven CMS student and she was chosen to be the Student of the Month for March by her teachers Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mr. Steve Perreault, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt.

The team teachers stated, “Nerissa, a clever problem-solver and creative thinker, is an academic leader in grade seven. Her homework is consistently well-done and she is a very responsible student. Nerissa’s sensitivity to others’ needs makes her well-liked by staff and peers alike, she is very deserving of this recognition.

Delaney Williams, a member of the eighth-grade at Caribou Middle School was named Student of the Month for March by her teachers Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Jennifer Rand and Mr. Ralph Fantasia.

The CMS teachers stated, “Delaney is a wonderful young lady who is a model student and is a pleasure to have in class. She is consistently on the high honor roll and is an active participant in classes on a daily basis. Along with her dedication to her academics, Delaney also is very active in extra-curricular activities including soccer, basketball, tennis and alpine skiing. She is also a homeroom representative for student council and is a member of the Maine Dance Academy.”

Krista Beaupre, a grade-eight student at the Caribou Middle School was selected Student of the Month for March by her teachers Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mr. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Jennifer Rand and Mr. Ralph Fantasia.

The faculty members said, “Krista is a student who both staff and students describe as a friendly and conscientious person who is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who may need assistance. She can routinely be seen with a smile on her face, as she always displays her joyful and fun-loving personality. Krista is very focused on her grades, is always on the honor roll and is an active participant with the Developmental Assets Team. She was also a manager on the CMS wrestling team.”
