Rep. Bernard Ayotte, (R-Caswell) recently presented Joan Thompson of Limestone with a Legislative Sentiment in recognition of her retirement. Thompson, a well-known and prominent business woman in the Limestone and Van Buren area, owned and operated a grocery and hardware store for many years. At one time she was said to be the largest private employer in the area. Rep. Ayotte thanked Thompson for the service she had provided to the local communities and especially for the jobs she had created. Members of the Senate and House of Representatives join in congratulating Thompson on her retirement and wish her the best of luck in the future.
