Horse Show is Sunday

    An open Gymkhana Horse Show, sponsored by the Katahdin Trail Riders, will be held 9 a.m. Sunday at the Springfield Fair Grounds in Lee.
    The goal of the show is to put on an exciting and rewarding show series for all ages and abilities to enjoy. Registration starts at 8 a.m. There is no cost to spectators.
    Winning competitors will receive ribbons for first-sixth place, along with Champion and Reserve Champion awards.
    Catering to all disciplines, the divisions include: Peewee, 12 and under; 13-17 and 18 and over. Even if a rider is just beginning or wishes to compete at a higher level, all competitors come to have fun. The aim of the show is to encourage riders and help them gain the experience to move into a more challenging level of competition.
    Every show offers unique games, some never before tried in the area. Afternoon brings Costume Class where some of the most remarkable costumes are shown. Spectators can even join in some of the games.
