Agency on Aging relocates in PI
The main office of Aroostook Agency on Aging has been relocated from 33 Davis Street to One Edgemont Drive, Suite B in Presque Isle. Their telephone numbers — 764-3396, toll free 1-800-439-1789 and Fax 764-6182 — and mailing address at P.O. Box 1288 have not changed. The e-mail address — info@aroostookaging.org and website — www.aroostookaging.org — have also not changed.
An open house at the new location is scheduled for Thursday, July 15 from 1-4 p.m. with light refreshments served. The public is invited to attend and see their new facilities.
Agency officials said the new location allows for better handicap access and the consolidation of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program staff formerly at Key Bank with other staff of the agency. Nutrition and Wellness staff formerly located at Key Bank are now at 33 Davis Street.
“We hope to renovate our building at 33 Davis Street for a future senior center with a daily dining service to serve central Aroostook’s older people,” said Director Steve Farnham.
