Katahdin Trust cruised to the 10-0 victory over K of C behind a strong pitching performance from Kyler Caron. Storm Bonato paced Katahdin Trust offensively with two hits. Mason Young and Torey Levesque knocked out hits for K of C, who also got strong defensive play from Josh Baldwin, Chase Quirion, Will Bridges and Karsten Bourgoine.
Jacob Sjoberg, Keegan Cogswell, and Jared Kilcollins made some fantastic plays in the field for Katahdin Trust.
Key Bank narrowly escaped with a 3-1 decision over Savings Bank. Griffin Guerrette picked up the win on the mound, striking out a season-high 11 batters. Jaren Winger and Drew Cameron both had hits for Key Bank. Savings Bank was led by a thunderous double off the bat of Jake Stevens, while Bailey York and Max Bartley also chipped in with hits. Jack Beaulieu, Alex Churchill, Isaac Madore, Trevor Miranda and Ifeanyi Sargent all made key plays in the field for Key Bank.
Not to be outdone in the field for Savings Bank were Erick Tompkins, Brandon McKnight and Jack Bonville, who kept the game close with a plethora of “highlight reel” plays on their end.
Last Wednesday brought a showdown with Key Bank and K of C. Key Bank’s bats were firing early and often as they prevailed, 8-1. Griffin Guerrette and Jaren Winger each singled twice for Key Bank, while Jack Beaulieu, Trevor Miranda, Alex Churchill, Isaac Madore, and Keagan Kinney all singled once. Jonah Hudson smacked a double for K of C, who also got hits from Josh Baldwin, Gage Young, Andrew Hewitt, Carter Trombley and Karsten Bourgoine.
Savings Bank picked up the 8-3 win over Katahdin Trust behind a three-hit day from Jake Stevens. Max Bartley, Brandon McKnight and Bailey York rapped two hits apiece, while the duo of Erick Tompkins and Jack Bonville finished with one hit each. Kyler Caron paced Katahdin Trust with five hits. Jacob Sjoberg, RJ Gross and Storm Bonato smashed three hits each, while Jared Kilcollins and Elijah Ruiz also picked up hits.
Key Bank closed out a perfect week as Jaren Winger outdueled Jonah Hudson of K of C. Winger helped himself out at the plate with four hits, while teammate Griffin Guerrette added three hits. Jack Beaulieu, Iffy Sargent and Isaac Madore also added hits. Gage Young and Hudson managed the only hits for K of C.

General swim hours are Monday through Friday from 1-2:45 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 7-8:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1-3:45 p.m. Summer lap swim hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:15 -8 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15-8 a.m., Monday through Friday from noon-1 p.m. and 5-6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon-1 p.m.
Zumba classes are held each Tuesday and Thursday from 5:45-6:45 p.m.
The recreation department is now hosting birthday parties for ages 4 and up at the community center in addition to the indoor pool.
