Three enrichment classes starting in October
    Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education reminds residents that sewing, digital photography and woodworking will all be starting their fall schedules in October.
    Sewing begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6 for 10 weeks; Digital Photography on Thursday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. for three sessions; and Woodworking on Thursday Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. for seven sessions.

Computer Classes planned for all levels
    Houlton/Hodgdon SAD29/70 Adult Education has a variety of computer classes planned for October. For the novice/beginning computer user, there is “Intro to Computers” at Hodgdon’s Mill Pond Elementary School on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  There is no charge for this class, but registration is required.
    For the computer user with some computer familiarity, there is a “Computer Basics” course that will introduce you to Word, Excel and PowerPoint on Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 12, 14, 26 and 28 at the Houlton Higher Education Center ($50 fee).  More experienced users may take the “Next Level in MSOffice” ($40 fee for Office and $40 fee for Excel) that runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Oct. 19 through Nov. 18.
