Aid for Kids program receives Ronald McDonald House grant

    BANGOR — Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Maine recently announced that it awarded grant funding totaling  $164,165.00 to 16 Maine non-profit organizations in 2010. Since its founding in 1989, RMHC of Maine has awarded more than $1.6 million in charitable grants to programs that positively impact families and children across Maine.
    Locally, the Aid for Kids program in Houlton received $10,700 for The Other Maine project.
    RMHC of Maine is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help Maine children and their families lead happier, healthier and more productive lives. While the Portland and Bangor Ronald McDonald Houses are the cornerstones of the Charity, RMHC of Maine’s support goes far beyond the Houses.
