Business group to host Holiday Matinee

PRESQUE ISLE — Momentum Aroostook is presenting a special film showing for its members and their families just in time for the holidays. A “Holiday Matinee with Momentum” will be held at the Braden Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. Moviegoers will be able to enjoy a holiday film favorite, “The Polar Express,” on the big screen for just $1 per ticket.

Momentum Aroostook is providing this holiday film-viewing opportunity as a special end-of-the-year celebration for the group. The organization, which has offered weekend movie opportunities in the past, wanted to host this $1 matinee event to provide a fun, family-themed activity exclusively for Momentum members.

“We wanted to provide another opportunity for young families in the area to do something fun together and are pleased to offer this exciting event — a chance to relax and watch a well-loved family movie together on the big screen,” Momentum Aroostook Chair Rachel Rice said. “What a great chance to spend some family time together with this heartwarming film and get into the holiday spirit just before Presque Isle’s annual Holiday Light Parade. We welcome all of our members to join us for this special holiday event.”

Momentum Aroostook is a group of highly-motivated Aroostook County young people, focusing on the 20 to 45 age demographic, connecting for career, social and community betterment.
