Belanger, Clairmond J., 89, of Caribou, at Caribou, on January 25, 2011. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


American Flag ColorAR Clairmond BelangerCARIBOU – Clairmond J. Belanger, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior January 25, 2011 at Caribou. He was born in Caribou November 14, 1921, the son of the late Amos and Annie (Cyr) Belanger. He served with the US Army during WW II and he married Pearl Bell October 23, 1942. Mr. Belanger was a retired auto mechanic having been employed at Caribou Ford Motor Company for many years. He was a longtime member of the Christian Life Assembly in Presque Isle and in later years, attended the Abundant Life Mission.

Surviving in addition to his wife of over 68 years, Pearl of Caribou; are four daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and David Soucier, Donna and Raymond Doucette all of Caribou, Brenda and Loren Sperrey of Bedford, Mass. and Carol and Rhonello Bell of Washburn; one son and daughter-in-law, Clair and Tanya Belanger of Caribou; one sister, Edna Weed of Ariz.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Belanger was predeceased by a daughter, Clarice Johnston and numerous brothers and sisters.

Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jeffery Bell, officiating.
