Gunnerson, Kirk D., 50, of Winter Haven, Fla. and Caribou, at Winter Haven, Fla., on January 21, 2011. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockholm on February 4th at 1 p.m. with an interment ceremony to follow at the Caribou Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou.


American Flag ColorAR Kirk GunnersonWinter Haven, Fla. and Caribou – Kirk Douglas Gunnerson, 50, passed away Friday, January 21st with his parents and family by his side after a short illness, in Winter Haven, Florida. Kirk was born in Caribou, Maine June 25, 1960. One of four children to Elmer Gunnerson and Loretta Patterson now retired in Winter Haven, Florida. Kirk graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in 1979. He served 10 years in the Army, after which he spent time in Alaska and moved to Florida five years ago. Kirk worked for a golf course and was able to enjoy his favorite pass time of golf.

Kirk is survived by his parents, Elmer Gunnerson and Loretta Patterson of Winter Haven, Florida; by his three sisters, Kim Sweeney of Stockholm, Maine, Karen Peterson of Cordova, Alaska, and Kelly Landeen of Connor, Maine; and one half sister, Amy Green of Brunswick, Maine.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stockholm on February 4th at 1 p.m. with an interment ceremony to follow at the Caribou Veterans Cemetery.
