MACHIAS — It was another record-setting performance in the pool for Presque Isle’s Erica Hemphill as the talented junior broke the Wildcat school record in the girls 200-yard individual medley (2:38.41). Not to be outdone, junior Grace Short broker her own school record in the 100-yard breaststroke. (1:20.53).
In the girls meet, Presque Isle defeated Washington Academy 65-28 and bested Caribou 71-13. In the boys meet, the Wildcats beat Washington Academy, 52-34 and defeated Caribou 57-14. Team scores for Caribou versus Washington Academy were not available. Independent swimmers from Limestone-MSSM also participated.
