Caribou’s cocoa-crazy for Chocolate Festival

The fourth annual Chocolate Festival, held Feb. 12, at the Caribou Recreation and Wellness Center, was once more deemed a sweet success. The event, held as a fundraiser for the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum, saw early chocolate shoppers seemingly make the impressive tables full of chocolate treats, melt away.

How sweet it is …

The day-long event featured not only chocolate delights of all types but also activities for kids ranging from cookiestacking  and  chocolate pudding eating competitions to S’mores making; an auction and many other activities.

Nancy Chandler, president of the CCDM stated, “I would like to thank all of the individuals and businesses who donated items for the Chocolate Festival Auction and of course all the great chocolate bakers and volunteers who help make the fourth annual Chocolate Festival a success.

Chandler also said, “We are happy to sponsor this family event that involves so many area community volunteers and participants who are helping to attain our goal of establishing a Children’s Discovery Museum in central Aroostook.”

The annual event helped raise $6,750.
