Guoying Zhang

ZHANG, Guoying, 89, PRESQUE ISLE, February 22, 2011. Graveside services will be held later in the spring at the Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

PRESQUE ISLE – Guoying Zhang, 89, died February 22, 2011, at a local health care facility. She was born April 7, 1921, in Fengrun, Hebei Provence, China, the daughter of Shuoping Zhang and Shuyi Tang.

Ms. Zhang graduated from Kailuan Teachers College in 1943. After graduation, she taught elementary schools in Beijing, China for 40 years. She was a very nice teacher and a lovely lady. She moved to Presque Isle, from Buffalo, New York with her family in 1988.

Ms. Zhang is survived by a daughter, Huidu Zhang and her husband, Zhu-qi Lu of Presque Isle; a grandson, Yuran Lu of Cambridge Mass; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces in China, the U.S., and other countries.
