Volunteers served banana splits to Veterans

On  Saturday, March 26, Kathy Robinson, president of Unit 136 American Legion Auxiliary of Stockholm and six Junior Auxiliary members visited the Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou, where they prepared and served banana splits to the residents.

According to Robinson, “A number of local American Legion and Auxiliary members volunteer at the Veterans’ Home serving home-cooked meals which  are enjoyed by the veterans, among other activities. We also try to share special events and holidays with the residents,” Robinson added.
