Delbert “Keith” McCrum Jr.

SH Keith McCrum OB

MCCRUM, Delbert “Keith” Jr., WESTFIELD, April 18, 2011. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.

Delbert “Keith” McCrum, Jr. passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, April 18, 2011, following a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vicki (Townsend) McCrum. They were married in June 1965 and were blessed with four children: Pauline, and her husband, Mark Higgins (Bangor), Barbara and her husband, David Bartlett (Presque Isle), Gregory and his wife, Hillary (Westfield), and Troy and his wife, Nichole (Washburn).

Many wonderful family memories have been made over the years. Keith was happiest working on the farm and spent his final day walking the earth doing what he loved.  Weekends would find him roaming the woods on a snowsled or four-wheeler.

Affectionately known as Papa, Keith’s legacy lies within each of his twelve grandchildren: Ashley, Hallie, Emma, Rachel, Gabby, Mackenzie, Nick, Madison, Grace, Lila, Elizabeth and Samuel, each hold irreplaceable memories of him. Whenever the wind blows its arms around them or a snowflake kisses their cheek, they will be blessed to know that he is with them. His stories and antics will continue to be the source of many laughs whenever family gathers.

In addition to his immediate family, Keith predeceased his parents, Delbert and Wilda McCrum; and siblings and their spouses: Debbie and Stephen Taylor, Rodney and Wendy McCrum, Ruth and Phil Parks, Jennette and Randy Hitchcock; and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the Life Flight team and the staff at TAMC and EMMC.

Calling hours were held on Thursday, April 21, from 4-7 p.m., at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main Street, Mars Hill, ME. In keeping with Keith’s wishes, a private family funeral has been scheduled for a later date.

Donations in Keith’s memory are requested in lieu of flowers to the American Red Cross, 73 Hammond Street, Suite 1, Bangor, ME 04401 or Cornerstone Christian Academy, 112 Caribou Road, Presque Isle, ME 04769.  Please remember to donate blood and update your organ donor card.
