AR Kevin PirieConnor Township — Kevin A Pirie, 54, has fallen asleep with the Lord on April 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family and in the comfort of his home. He was born in Perth, New Brunswick, Canada August 9, 1956, the son of the late Alton and Arline (Watson) Pirie. Kevin was a graduate of Southern Victoria County High School and attended the University of Southern Maine. His vibrant spirit touched all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Kevin always worked hard, always loved his family, and enjoyed his friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his adventures thoroughly. Kevin was an active member of the Connor community where he was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very involved with the Connor Recreation Department. He wore many hats throughout his life — he taught forestry, drove school buses, and worked his carpentry with great pride — especially his General Contracting business, K. Pirie and Sons. He was a devoted and loving husband, a caring father, and a great friend. He was a Little League umpire for a number of years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife, of 33 years, Beatrice (Dixon) Pirie, of Connor; two sons, Jason Pirie and his wife, Jana of Hooksett, NH and Matthew Pirie of Hermon; brothers and sisters, Theodore Pirie of Fredericton, N.B., Cecil Pirie of Perth Andover, N.B., David Pirie of Hinton, Alberta, Andrew Pirie of Pokeshaw, N.B., Phillip Pirie of Tilley, N.B., Alan Pirie of Rowena, N.B., Connie Malm of Perth Andover, N.B., Beverly Kreller of Hope B.C., Evelyn Cote of Beaconsfield, N.B., and Laurie Pirie of Bath N.B.; one grandchild coming in September, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends called Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 am Saturday, April 30, 2011, from the Parish of the Precious Blood St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Following the services all were invited to a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Parish hall. Friends who wish to contribute to Kevin’s memory may do so with a donation to the Kevin A.
