    REED PLANTATION – Maurice J. Coty Jr., 58, died Thursday evening, June 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Lincoln, on August 3, 1952, the son of Maurice and Jeannette (Paradise) Coty Sr.
    He graduated from Lee Academy in 1971. Maurice worked as a woodsman and a master carpenter. He was also known as the “scrap iron man”.
    He is survived by his parents of Molunkus; his companion, Corey Davis of Reed Plantation; a daughter, Thirise Rollins of Houlton; four sons: Roland Caron of Houlton, Maurice Coty III of Cutler, Adam Coty of Scituate, Mass, and Christopher of Houlton; many grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; three sisters: Judy Fenoff of Vermont, Deborah Nass of Sherman, and Cathy Reardon of Chester; and a brother, Gary Coty of Sitka, Alaska.
    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Main Street, Presque Isle, with the Very Rev. Jean Paul LaBrie  Celebrant. Friends called 10 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, at the church. Interment was in St. Mary’s Chapman Street Cemetery, Presque Isle.
