HOULTON & PAXTON, MA – Joseph C. Marshall, Jr, 64, passed away Thursday July 14, 2011 in Worcester, MA with his family by his side. Joe was born and raised in Houlton, ME, the son of Joseph C. and Lillian (Sewell) Marshall.
Besides his mom, Lillian Stairs of Houlton, he leaves behind his best friend and wife of 39 years, Ann S. (Nakatani) Marshall; his daughter, Lucy A. Marshall and her husband Derrick Anderson of Jackson, Michigan; his son, Joseph C. Marshall, III of Rhode Island; two brothers, Gerald A. and Michael D. Marshall and his wife, Gail both of Houlton; two sisters, Norma Ellis and her husband, Ed of Monticello and Elaine Webb and her husband, Charlie of Manchester; three grandchildren, Josh Weldon, Joseph and Jocelyn Marshall; two step-grandchildren, Dustin and Savannah Anderson; nieces, Eron and Emily Ellis, Rachel and Kelly Marshall, Crystal and Sierra Webb; nephews, Nick and Eric Ellis and Andrew Marshall.
Joe was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and a field service engineer for Industrial Dynamics, Inc. of California for 25 yrs. He was a member of Tatnuck American Legion Post #288 in Worcester, MA, and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Senior Bowling League in Paxton. Joe, along with his wife, Ann, raised German sport horses at their home in Paxton.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:30 – 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at Military St. Baptist Church in Houlton with a service following at 3:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
