Kinney named Junior Miss Potato Blossom 2011

On Wednesday, July 13, eight young ladies vied for the title of Jr. Miss Potato Blossom 2011. Following the opening routine, they competed in the physical fitness portion of the pageant.

• Jr. Miss Presque Isle Emma Marie Kinney danced to “When I Look at You” as her talent and was crowned the new Jr. Miss Potato Blossom 2011. She is the daughter of Jolene and Derrick Kinney.

• Other talents featured for the evening included a song by 2010 Jr. Miss Potato Blossom Victoria Keaton, who sang “The Prayer” by Josh Groban — in both English and Italian!

• JUNIOR QUEEN — Jr. Miss Presque Isle Emma Kinney (Left Picture) was crowned the new Jr. Miss Potato Blossom 2011 during July 13 pageant in Fort Fairfield. She performed a dance to “When I Look at You” as her talent.

• 2010 Jr. Miss Potato Blossom Victoria Keaton (Right Picture) sang “The Prayer” during the Jr. Miss Pageant on Wednesday, July 13, in Fort Fairfield. She sang beautifully in both English and Italian.

• Jr. Miss Mapleton Emma Marie Langille is the daughter of Jennifer and Carroll Langille and danced a ballet number to “Anyway“ as her talent.

• Jr. Miss Easton Kylee Carter performed a monologue titled “Mornings are Meant for Sleeping” as her talent. She is the daughter of Sheri and Travis Carter.

Noelle Kristan Bailey, Jr. Miss Mars Hill, sang “Don’t Rain on My Parade” as her talent. She is the daughter of Kelly and Dan White and Alan Bailey, Jr.

Sirrea Lynn Deschenes, Jr. Miss Limestone, performed a monologue titled “Secret Agent Little Red Riding Hood” as her talent. She is the daughter of Colleen and Dana Deschenes.

• Jr. Miss Caribou Kelsie Marie Washington was named the second runner-up. The daughter of Christiane and Rey Washington, Kelsie danced to “Bottom of the Ocean” as her talent.

• Jr. Miss Van Buren, Isabel Parent, sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” She is the daughter of Lisa and Bill Parent.

• The first contestant was Jr. Miss Fort Fairfield Gemimar J. Babin. She performed on a Drum to “Wipe Out” and was named the first runner-up as well as Miss Congeniality. Gemimar is the daughter of Claudette and Mark Babin.
