PRESQUE ISLE – Cathy M. McGlinn, 57, passed away August 1, 2011, with her loving family by her side, after a brave battle with breast cancer. She was born Oct. 18, 1953, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Loomis and Eileen (Theriault) Lovley.
Cathy loved traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed shopping, pedicures, and playing golf at Presque Isle Country Club, where she was a member. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, whether it was gathering for holidays, going on shopping trips or just spending a quiet day at home. She had been employed for many years at Casco Northern Bank, then later when it became Key Bank, and most recently had been enjoying retirement.
Cathy was predeceased by her father, Loomis E. Lovley and; and step-father, Roger Murphy.
She is survived by her mother, Eileen Murphy of Waterville; her husband, Steven N. McGlinn of Presque Isle; a daughter, Kimberly R. McGlinn of Baltimore, MD; a son and his wife, Coury R. and Liz McGlinn of Portland; a brother and his wife, Peter L. and Deborah Lovley of Batimore, MD; two sisters and their husbands: Sarah J. and Dan Willette of Waterville, and Nancy L. and Lester Tompkins of West Chapman; an aunt; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cathy also leaves two special friends, Dianne Roberston and Judy Edmunds.
Relatives and friends called at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home with Rev Robert Smith officiating. Interment was in Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle, immediately following funeral services.
