PRESQUE ISLE – Lorraine A. (Estabrook) Grant, 83, died August 1, 2011, after a long illness. She was born June 26, 1928, in Rockland, Mass. She is a graduate of Rockland High School class of 1946.

Lorraine loved doing arts and crafts, cooking, and her favorite past time was shopping on QVC. She loved spending time with her grandchildren when they could visit. Lorraine was a longtime resident of Fort Fairfield before moving to Presque Isle in 1996.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Grant of Fort Fairfield; and her parents, Warren and Edith (Turner) Estabrook of Canada and Massachusetts; two sisters: Ruth Keaton and Margarie Smith; and a brother, Gerald Estabrook, all of Mass.

Lorraine is survived by her five daughters: Pamela Stickney and her husband, Frank, Linda Peckham, Jessie Grant, all of Presque Isle, Debra Sheputa and her husband, Francis of Rockland, Mass., and Jennifer Landry and her husband, Joseph of Ellsworth; seven grandchildren: Caitlin Stickney of Presque Isle, Joshua Luke Sheputa of Rockland Mass., Shiloe Drost and Hannah Drost of Brewer, Clarence Russell, Mara Russell, Willow Russell, all of Ellsworth; and a great-grandson, Ross Harper Drost.

The Grant family welcomed loved ones and friends to come and celebrate Lorraine’s life at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Calling hours were 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the Grant family requests that donations be made in Lorraine’s memory to the charity of your choice.
