MAPLETON – Murrey Boyles, 75, passed away August 4, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born October 7, 1935, in Presque Isle. He was the son of Bernard and Hilma (Archer) Boyles.
Murrey was a graduate of Mapleton High School Class of 1954. He was an auto body repairman for 47 years and an active member of the Mapleton United Methodist Church.
Murrey is survived by four children: Brent and his wife, Duska of Mapleton, Tamra Robertson and her husband, Dan of Colby Siding, Torry Eaton and her husband, Mike of Mapleton, and Trudy DeBlois and her husband, Dale of Winthrop. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Dayna and her husband, Tom, Bradlee and his wife, Erica, Andrew, Seth and his fiancée, Susie, Carter, Emily, Morgan, Melissa, Morgan (MoMo), Keenan, Elizabeth, Karson, and Mitchell; and two great-grandchildren: Olivia and Aiden; as well as his very close companion, Iris.
Murrey was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Ardis (Condon) Boyles; his son, Bryan; and an infant son, Teremy.
Relatives and friends were welcome to call 10-11 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Mapleton United Methodist Church, where a memorial service was held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dorothy Matson officiating. Interment immediately followed at South Side Cemetery. Gifts in his honor may be made to the Mapleton United Methodist Church, Endowment Fund, P.O.
